I have started learning something new!

Dropshipping….

What is it?

If you are familiar with print on demand, its basically the same thing. The printing company handles everything from the printing of the product, the shipping, and the money. Easy…

I signed up for Printful, a fulfillment center that prints apparel, tech, home decor products and more!

You can integrate the products you create with Printful, via e-commerce stores like Esty or Amazon or create your own online store through Woocomerce or Shopify.

What are the benefits of choosing to sell through an E-Commerce store over creating your own?

  • You get their audience as well as your followers
  • It’s easier!
  • It might be cheaper depending on what eCommerce store you choose

I chose to integrate my Printful products with my Etsy shop.

First things first, I had to create an Etsy shop.

You will have to create one product in order to get your shop set up. Don’t worry it doesn’t have to be a real product and can be deleted after you get your shop set up!

Once set up and I connect the two shops.

Some things to know before you go through with this. There are some extra fees!

  • It costs $0.20 to create an Etsy listing. That’s why products pushed through our generator are saved as drafts on your Etsy account—you need to activate them yourself.
  • You’ll have to renew your Etsy listings every 4 months.
  • Etsy charges a 5% fee for every transaction and shipping on their platform.

Yes, you can set these fees up for auto-renewal so you don’t forget.

Once you have both shops set up, you simply add your products in Printful, and they appear in your listing product drafts.

Activate the ones you want!

It really is that easy!

What I like about Etsy….

You get an about section to show videos, photos and have a biography of yourself or your art!

This is mine…

This my biography…

Abby Juli is a self-titled creative rebel who shares her perspective of the world through art and the creator of her brand Purelifephotoss. I call myself a creative rebel because I don’t have a specific niche or don’t follow the rules when it comes to art.

I am an advocate for mental health awareness and animals even creating my collections featured on my page Be Apart of the Change where I donate to select non-profit organizations of my choosing.

If you have bought something from my shops please share it with me!

I have this biography the same throughout my print on demand shops.

You can easily edit your Printful products through Etsy as well, including editing your description, tags and even adding more photos of the product.

If you are curious about the upload process…..

Here are some products in my shop, I took many of my most popular designs from my current Print on Demand Shops and uploaded them to Printful.

Here is my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Purelifephotoss

What exactly is the difference between Dropshipping vs Print on Demand?

Take this sweatshirt for example.

If you bought it on my print on demand website, Redbubble,

Give a markup of 20%, I would get $5.75 of that $34.50 while Redbubble gets the rest.

Whereas on my Etsy shop.

The same priced sweatshirt, I would get around $8 of the $25.

Now I’m not saying this to get you to stop shopping on Redbubble…

I love Redbubble! I would recommend them to anyone who is just getting started with Print on Demand. I have many of their products…. their stickers and t-shirts are my favorites!

Print on Demand shops such as Redbubble is great stepping stone for anyone who wants to get started selling their art!

Another huge difference is, you can choose when you get paid! You can choose to get paid daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

What’s the same?

With lots of competition on Etsy and other PODS you need a lot more than great art to stand out! You NEED good tags, descriptions, and titles so your product can be found!

I use the same tags and titles as on my print on demand shops. Etsy allows 13 tags.

I use the same description that I have on my Print on Demand shops, I just add it to the top of the current description that Printful provides me.

Thank you for reading!
